AYURVEDA is nature-based Indian system of healing, and is believed to be five thousand years old. Its goal is to bring into balance the three doshas that govern all of the bodily functions.

ABHYANGA MASSAGE
A traditional Ayurvedic therapy consisting of a complete head, face & body massage, performed by one or two technicians. Warmed herbalized oils are gently applied to the body in a continuous flowing sequence for up to one full hour. The depth of the pressure and the speed of the motions vary according to your Ayurvedic body type, or Dosha. It promotes the release of deep impurities & imbalances from the body.

UDVARTNA MASSAGE
This is a massage using a coarse herbal paste to enliven and energize the body. It helps promote better digestion, healthier skin, firmer muscle tone, increased circulation and a breakdown of cellulite. It is strongly recommended for those wishing to loose weight. This can be followed by a shower, but we highly recommend this procedure be followed by the "Swedana" therapy.

NASYA THERAPY
Nasya is an Ayurveda therapy designed to help alleviate problems of excess mucus & blocked sinuses. An invigorating head massage is followed by an herbal steam inhalation, and then the application of hot towels. Herbal nasal drops are finally administered to loosen, melt and release mucus from the nasal passages.

SHIRODHARA
This is an amazingly relaxing therapy, which gently releases stress and tension from the mind and body -- it usually accompanies "Abhyanga" or the "Neck & Shoulder Nirvana" therapies. A steady stream of warm, aromatic oil flows rhythmically across the forehead, calming the mind and soothing the nervous system. The procedure induces feelings of profound peace and happiness.

SWEDANA (STEAM TENT)
The Swedana therapy is an herbal steam treatment, allowing the body to perspire and release impurities from the skin. It is perfect for helping soothe painful, sore or aching muscles and joints, and for improving the complexion. This is an excellent addition to any body treatment or massage.
